Le Tournesol is a charming Bed and Breakfast in the heart
of the Gers. Known as the French Tuscany, it is famous for
its Gastronomy and rolling countryside.
Armagnac, Duck confit, Foie gras, Melons and Garlic are the
main produce in this area and the regions exquisite dishes
and landscape reflects this.
Also famous for D’Artagnan, Dumas’ most famous
musketeer during the time of Eleanor of Acquitaine and the
Hundred Years War, he was born here in the Gers. His statue
dominates the vast stone staircase that climbs from the river
Gers up to Auch cathedral, one of the last to be built in
France.
Le Tournesol Chambre d’hote is situated in the heart
of Saint Clar, a picturesque village in the department of
the Gers and only an hour’s drive from Toulouse airport
and one hour and a half from the Pyrenees.
Saint Clar is truly unique with its two arcaded squares, one
with its Halle, home to the weekly produce market which has
been trading since the early 17th century.
Every Thursday the market springs to life with local fare
being sold to locals and visitors alike. Traditional Saint
Clar has two Churches with the first dating back to the 12th
century, while the second was built in the 18th century.
Le Tournesol Chambre d’hote in ideally situated in the
centre of the village, watched over by both Churches.

a relaxed weekend away or the opportunity to immerse yourself
in French culture.
 
Le Tournesol est une jolie chambre d'hôte située
à Saint Clar au coeur du Gers, pays de l'ail, du canard,
des mousquetaires et plus généralement du bon
vivre.
Notre maison se trouve à côté de l'église
à deux pas de la place du marché. Tous les jeudi
matin, vous y retrouverez les producteurs locaux. Producteurs
d'ail - nous sommes au pays de l'ail blanc - éleveurs
de canards, d'oies, fabricants de conserves, de foie gras...
C'est un lieu idéal pour passer un week end de tranquillité,
voir plus.
Nos chambres ont été entièrement refaites
et disposent de tout le confort. Chacune a sa propre salle
de bain ou de douche. Mais bien sur, nous serons heureux de
vous laisser profiter du salon... Découvrez le décor
